IMPORTANT update: NewYork-Presbyterian and Empire/Anthem have reached an agreement that protects patients’ in-network access to NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals, as well as Weill Cornell Medicine, ColumbiaDoctors, and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups.

We are pleased to inform our patients that NewYork-Presbyterian and Empire/Anthem have reached an agreement that will continue our patients’ in-network access to care at all NewYork-Presbyterian facilities, as well as Weill Cornell Medicine, ColumbiaDoctors, and physicians in NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups.

We maintain that all New Yorkers should have a choice about their doctors and where they receive care. We believe that the agreement we have reached will benefit you and our future patients.

What This Means For You

All NewYork-Presbyterian facilities, as well as Weill Cornell Medicine, ColumbiaDoctors, and physicians of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups, will continue to be in-network providers for all Empire/Anthem members. There will be no interruption in care, you may keep your appointments already made for the remainder of 2018, 2019 and beyond, and continue to see your current physician as an in-network provider.

What Happens Next?

There is no change in your health insurance coverage. You may continue to access all NewYork-Presbyterian facilities and see Weill Cornell Medicine, ColumbiaDoctors, and physicians in NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups as in-network providers.
